About Forsyth County Criminal History

Forsyth County criminal records are split among the sheriff, District 31 courts, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, correctional agencies, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. We created this private reference resource to make that division easier to follow. The goal is to route a reader to the government portal, records counter, mailing process, or phone line that actually holds the requested information.

Why We Built This Site

North Carolina makes many justice records available, yet it does not keep every fact in one public search. The Forsyth County sheriff maintains bookings and its own reports. The clerk keeps filed charges and outcomes. The SBI maintains the fingerprint-supported repository, while NCDAC Community Supervision and the Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission serve narrower roles. We organize the verified routes so those boundaries are clear.

What You Will Find Here

  • Local record routes: where Forsyth County arrest, booking, warrant, court, and police files begin
  • Official review options: how public court checks, an SBI personal review, and an FBI Identity History Summary differ
  • Agency details: verified counters and phone lines for the sheriff, clerk, and statewide systems
  • Expunction basics: where petitions are filed and why the exact case must be checked against Article 5 of Chapter 15A

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, not part of any North Carolina court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those limits mean:

  • We do not retrieve official records or perform background checks
  • We cannot submit expunction papers or public-record requests for a visitor
  • We do not certify court files, criminal histories, or other government documents
  • We cannot interpret a charge or give advice about a specific case
  • We cannot promise that an agency has not changed a fee, address, phone number, or rule

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Forsyth County clerk, the sheriff, or the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. We can only identify the proper route.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. Each provider controls its own service, results, prices, and terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral payment that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's fee and cannot determine what its search returns.
